New dog on the block

Our friends Pam and Jerry adopted a lovely new dog last Sunday down at the the Petsmart adoption event that Dennis oversees. He is going to make a great friend for our Jake.

Comet is a Golden Retriever/Saluki. Incredibly handsome.

EfM

I am in the final weeks of a 4 year program called Education for Ministry. It has been a good experience for me determining my personal philosophy and how I view the world. Most beneficial to me has been learning to like myself a lot better and figuring out a little of what makes me tick and how I interact with others. Today we met at Marilyn's house. She graduated from EfM last spring and lost her husband last fall. I blogged about Marilyn last year. She is a woman I very much admire.

busy week

Beth is visiting this week. Here she is sitting outside at Gammage Auditorium on Wednesday evening after finishing a sandwich. We saw an excellent production of Jesus Christ Superstar.

Today we drove to Saguaro Lake and had lunch outdoors at the restaurant.

And this goofy woman is pretty sure (about 99.9%) that she is soon going to be receiving a lovely photo in the mail from the photo radar van at Tatum just north of Lincoln.

Creating

Haven't done much creating lately. Finished this apron for donating to a silent auction at my church. I feel very complimented that 2 women already want it.

favorite things

I love pickles especially sweet pickles. One of my husband's pet peeves is that I am the condiment queen and tend to keep multiple sorts of things in the refrigerator. Behind the sweet petites are pickled beets which I like to make and keep constantly also. Currently my favorite are the "Famous Dave" pickles which are bread and butter like but with a little zing. I think it is necessary to have all kinds of pickles to meet our pickle needs. Soon, I will do mustards.
