A little more Bisbee

Why I love Bisbee

Bisbee, Here we come!

What with the demise of the computer and various other factors, I never blogged the Bisbee overnight and I want to remember it. So will do it in increments of 4 photos. Due to the fact that finding photos is above mycapabilities on the new computer at this time. On the way to Bisbee we stopped in Benson for some Walmart shopping and breakfast at a little diner. The boys look so grown up here.
Aaron sat with us.

Mule Pass Tunnel welcomes us in to Bisbee.

Projects

2nd seed bead project finished last night. Beginning to enjoy this. Challenging to figure out but then the work starts falling in place.
Bought this fabric at Michael Levine in LA because it cheered me up. Made napkins out of it.
1st seed bead project. A copy of one that Mona bought in Illinois. Really love this one. Love the color of the coral beads.

Fall purse

I bought this bag at Ross a couple of weeks ago. Color is called curry. It's style and design are completely and probably boringly so me. Once I load up a purse, I seem to carry it forever.
Made this evil eye charm to ward off bad spirits.

A little creativity

A few of my recent projects. A necklace which is to be a surprise for a Facebook friend.
A set for a church friend.
Birthday gift for my sister-in-law.
Car bag for Mandy.
Top for Becky.
Top on Becky.

Linda and Deb do LA

My friend Linda and I recently flew over to LA for the day to check out the garment district. We landed at Burbank and actually walked down the steps at the rear of the plane. Not having done this in many a year, I found it kind of nostalgic.
The only fabric store we really enjoyed was Michael Levine where I managed to be reprimanded twice for taking pictures inside the store. Did buy some nifty pieces of fabric and anyone who knows me very well knows how desparately needed that was.
Just a typical shot of what we saw, lots of kind of sleazy fabrics blowing in the very hot breeze. Then when we had decided we had had enough, turning the wrong way delivered us to some wonderful and fun bead shopping. We had a very good day.
And LA is a great big freeway!

Best wishes, Elizabeth

Elizabeth in blue will soon become Mrs. Moyer. Some of the women from my church gave a bridal shower for her. My small role was making rolls and muffins.
The delicious lunch.
Sweet goodbye favors for all the guests. Another lovely event at the home of my friend Jennie. Wishing Elizabeth and Nate much happiness.

Sewer's block

Is there such a thing as sewer's block? I had the hardest time with this project. Cut on the wrong line and then had to fix. Just couldn't get going on it. Finally just didn't let myself do anything else until I finished the pants. This morning I sewed a little bead trim on the top and now I love it. Birthday gift for someone who isn't real "into" florals.

change of scene

We drove up to Pine on Tuesday with the Spicers. Had lunch in Payson and showed them the trailer. Temperature was lovely. It was a relaxing little getaway.
