a long overdue treat
On Thursday afternoon after Jodie's shower Linda wanted to get a pedicure. I had at first told her no, that I didn't want anyone to see my feet. But then thinking, maybe I should give it a try. Well, have to say I loved it and intend to follow up as long as I'm able. Figured I may as well go the whole 9 yards so everytime the technician asked me ''do you want?", I said yes. So I ended up with these very decorated toes. One of my facebook friends said "it looks like your toe is wearing its own little kimono. Yes, I like that!
Jodie's shower
On October 14, I was in San Diego staying with my friend Linda in their lovely beach rental to attend her daughter's wedding. On Thursday morning, there was a shower for Jodie given by her friends (with quite a bit of help from Linda). All of my pictures of Jodie are taken in front of the window and therefore way too dark. But didn't seem right to a blog on her shower with her not in it.
l. to r.-Joann, Michelle, Ryan, Jodie, Carrie and Jan.
Cherly, Elisabeth holding Ryan's baby girl and Julie holding her baby.
Three delightful friends of Linda's whom I enjoyed meeting-Amy, Bonnie and Joann.

Everyone had such a good time that the shower lasted right through to lunch.
airport visit
On the Tucker's last full day here, we went to Deer Valley airport to see Papa Dee's RV-12. Aaron was reluctant to get in. I think he was afraid it would take off.
Papa Dee and boys.
Aaron gets braver.
Roger that, over and out.

Aquarium
Just getting started. The boys really enjoyed everything. In fact, we all did.
Aaron points something out to Mandy.
A great photo op.
These displays are set up so you can crawl under and look at things through a bubble. Looks like they're in there with the fish.

not so much
When the Tuckers visited last, we took the boys to Arizona Mills to the Aquarium but first...... a stop off at Beads Galore. It took them awhile to get into it but then they both picked out some things. They looked really cute in there among the ladies.

Industrious baking
Beck and Mandy and the boys came up the weekend before Becky's birthday. Aaron brought along a funfetti cake mix and a can of chocolate frosting so he could make cupcakes. He is the cupcake decorator supreme.
He didn't really want much help. Able to handle the job pretty well by himself.
Made Aunt Mimi a very special birthday cupcake.
In close up. Quite a crusty little topping.
