nightly occurrence

Every night before dinner Dennis eats a bunch of raw vegetables and these 2 vulture-like little characters sit like this waiting for tidbits. They both love vegetables and fruits, almost all kinds.

Changes

The way our guest bedroom looks now. Crate and Barrel headboard, new striped cover. I had a Tommy Hilfiger comforter I bought at Ross. When I washed it, it all gobbed and bunched up.

New green towels and rug in the bath and the Anthropologie shower curtain.

A gift for me. I bought this Kawai digital piano from my friend Michaele who just moved to Portland. I am enjoying it.

My favorite salad, a Nicoise just consumed for lunch by Den and me. Love when I get the really tiny potatoes and haricot vertes.

Dinner and dogs

We were invited to dinner tonight with Pam and Jerry. They are neighbors who have become good friends. Our dogs play together most afternoons. Our dogs were included in the dinner invitation. We had this delicious grilled salmon and veggies.

And yummy chocolate cake for dessert.

visiting

Before Mandy and the boys left for home, we stopped to visit with Keira and Ginny. Keira and Aaron were born 3 weeks apart in January of 2007.

Train ride

On March 8, Mandy and I took the boys on the light rail.

I think they enjoyed it.

Graduation

On March 7, Beau graduated from dog school.

The dogs were given a treat of frozen yoghurt.

Evan held Beau for the class picture.

Shopping at Whole Foods

Mandy and the boys spent several days with us the weekend of March 6 and 7. We did a little shopping in Target's garden center in the rain.

This is an African lungfish belonging to Chris. My grandson Evan likes it.

The African decor above the lungfish aquarium. So it doesn't get too homesick for Africa, I suppose.
